The Integrated Media Planner (IMP) is the system of record for all content produced in digital and print publications since 2012.


The central record of IMP is the Content Item. A Content Item contains the basic information about a story or work order (for images or web production work), including:

  • Title
  • Brief description
  • Who needs it and when
  • Assignments for freelance work
  • Production tasks (if any) 
  • Notes to anyone working on the story or work order



Any information associated with a content item -- tasks, images, assignments, individuals working on that content (photo editors, producers, etc.) --  can be retrieved and organized to monitor progress and productivity.
